Since you have purified yourselves by your obedience to the truth, so that you show sincere brotherly love for each other, from a pure heart love one another constantly,
1 Peter 1:22 CSB
Peter is writing to the church under pressure.
He knows what I'm like, that when the pressure is on, just like we've closed the borders of our country, I'll close the borders of my heart.
As long as I'm OK.
Peter encourages us to keep looking out.
This verse is sandwiched between the gospel and a picture of eternity.
Look up to love God.
Look out to love people.
The word translated "constantly" is intently, fervently, it means "fully stretched", taut.
Every fibre fully stretched.
That's how Peter wants us to love one another.
Today as the borders of our bubbles are loosened a little, open, reopen, the borders of your heart.
#loveoneanother
