If he really believed Jesus is who he says he is, how would he have responded? I trust you. I will follow you. Even if it means giving up something, giving away something important too me... But this guy, he had more faith in his money than in Jesus...even though in his heart he knew it couldn't save him... We all have something that we put our faith in from time to time; money, business, work, education, acceptance of others, appearance, relationship... Jesus says have enough faith in me just to follow me first. Trust me. #faith #whatsreallyimportant #wordsofJesus

1 Timothy 4:8-9 NLT "Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come" This is a trustworthy saying... So...what's it to be? Put some real sustained effort and energy into God's word...figuring out what it means for you...applying it in the everyday...what does "training in godliness" look like for you? How much time do I waste talking about, arguing about, looking at, stuff that is just worthless...or at best mildly entertaining?
