I am my own enemy if my close friends, the people i look to for direction and wisdom, who I model my life after, who I look up to, are deliberate law breakers in some way. And the second part...because I look up to that person, from a misguided sense of loyalty I can't or won't see the truth about them Sometimes there are people in our lives who are just not good for us, a bad influence, we need to be free of, to put distance between us so that we can see the reality of who they are.
