Psalm 42.1-11.nlt As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God... I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him? O God my rock l cry, Why have you forgotten me? Why must I wander around in grief, oppressed by my enemies? Their taunts break my bones. They scoff, Where is this God of yours? Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again - my Savior and my God! That song "as the deer pants for the water..." seems almost nice, but it's not...it's part of a cry of anguish, of hurt, of despair...of God not giving an answer...yet...through all that...again and again he says I'll put my hope in God! #choose #hope #hopeunshaken

Ephesians 4:4-6 MSG You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness. I like the way the Message emphasises the oneness of our call. It's a call to strengthen and develop unity in the church and our christian community.  How can you and I be part of that? This version does miss though the "one glorious hope" that we have of our future with God. 2 Corinthians 1:7 ESV Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort. Sufferings,  comfort, and hope. And it's all about sharing! If you are struggling under loss or grief or hurt, then share it. Someone else will be able to provide the comfort that comes from God, the experience of being through something similar, and know that there is hope. This is what the Christian community should be like. There will be times that we all need love and support and comfort, and times that we can give it.
