For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; Philippians 1:21-23 NIV OK so he's not called Saint Paul for nothing :) He got to meet Jesus on the road to Emaeus, blinded, healed, shipwrecked, jailed...had his name and his destiny changed...and clearly he had a better view of eternity, a better grasp of heaven than me... But what if I genuinely could get to the place Paul was? I think I'd hold onto the things of this world more lightly, my focus would be much more on what's really important...knowing God, making Him known, loving the people He's put in front of me... #whatreallymatters #faith #eternity

Don't you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 Today we just needed something connected with sport :) Great to celebrate success, whether it's sport, business, education...& the things we learn about discipline & training & how that leads to success. Paul when he wrote this must have seen a lot of sporting contests...and then connects it to our life as Christians...it takes training, discipline, perseverance, struggle...while it must be gr8 to hold that RWC as champions, the prize we will win is one that will never fade...imagine that! #eternity

Genesis 15:5-6 ESV And he brought him outside and said, "Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them" Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be" I wonder what it's like when God says "step outside with me..." Look at creation. Keep the faith. Now count those stars...I have something bigger in mind. You want a son and heir, but I want everyone to know Me and join with me in Life. Abram, Jonathan, _________, just have faith that I am, & that my big plans are for good, so just do your bit, don't live in fear or anxiety, love those who are in your life, 'cos I've got this... #faith #trustGod #life #eternity
