Sometimes we water God down, reduce Him to something or someone more manageable, more malleable, someone who does what we want, when we want it done. Someone who will help me get X. Whatever X is, is where our hearts have rested, placed our faith in...but we can't stop there, because whatever X is for you cannot hold the weight of our faith... only the Living God can, so push on, push through the tangled web of loves that makes up our hearts and seek the One who is "worthy of praise".
