See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! 1 John 3:1 AMP Monday morning and maybe it feels like "real life" hits again. But no matter what you and I face today, this week, this year, one thing does not change. We are the children of God! If we've put our faith in Jesus, we've been adopted. That is immutable (love that word - had to look it up tho!} Accepted. We are known, yet accepted & loved in all the good bad & ugly of our hearts and lives Loved God is Love. And His great heart is for us. His Love brought Jesus from heaven to the cross to make a way, to become the way. Adopted Accepted Loved What a place to start your Monday morning from! Oh and one more thing... Safe. Friday! Proverbs! A fool's mouth is his ruin, And his lips are the snare of his soul. Proverbs18:7 AMP Just when you want a nice uplifting Proverb we get this. The news tells me this Proverb is true. Personal experience tells me it's true. I never think that my own words are a snare for my soul. That's harsh. Sometimes it's the words I say out loud, about other people, things I think are funny or harmless. Sometimes its the words inside my head, the thoughts that pop up and I allow them to fester there. I give them space they don't deserve. These words can be a snare for my soul. The antidote? A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. Proverbs 17:17 NIV There is one brother who was born for a time of adversity. And he stepped into it. He didn't have to. But he chose to. Why? Because he thought that we were worth it. So worth it he left eternal goodness and humbled himself, shrunk himself, entered a world of suffering and hurt, & took it all on himself. Because he loves. You. He is the friend who loves at all times...loving is not just what he does, it's who he is. He is love. He doesn't stop When we don't get him, reject him, turn, go our own way, trip, fail...he loves at all times. In our flaws, in our stuff, He Loves. All a person's ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. Proverbs 16:2 NIV In the 2001 movie "A Knights Tale" twice these words are a key part of the story... "You've been weighed You've been measured And you've been found wanting" That's the way the world works. It judges us on performance, our last exam, piece of work, how we look, what we do, where we live...if we're too loud, too quiet, not enougb... too much... We've been weighed, measured, but we're not found wanting, because Jesus lived the life we couldn't, died the death we should have, to make a way, to be the way for us. To the One who really matters, we are not, and never will, be found wanting. Proverbs 16:2 NIV Yes on my own, my motives (the fallible choices of my heart) will fall short, won't have enough weight on the scales of Yahweh... But. Jesus. Jesus evens up the scale. His motives (the infallible choices of his heart) close the gap, add the weight to balance Yahweh's scale. So we strive to address the weaknesses of our hearts, NOT to gain favour, right standing, salvation, but BECAUSE of salvation, because were God's adopted children we have right standing, because were redeemed we have God's favour. It's done. Yahweh's scales show us all just how short we fall. Yet in Jesus, they show us just how much we're loved :) #redeemed #adopted #dearlyloved #childrenofGod

Us. The least. Jesus became destitute so that we no longer needed to be He became poor so that we could become treasure. Rejected. Despised. Forsaken. So that we could be redeemed. Atoned for. Restored. Brought from outside the gate...into the city Moved from the orphanage to the palace...into the family of the King!
