This is love: 
not that we loved God, but that he loved us 
and sent his Son 
as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

This is love.
The creator loving his creation.
Before we knew Him, we are loved.
This is love.
Love that took action, not just some small token action. 
God sent His son.
This is love.
And why?
To be the sacrifice. 
To atone.
To make things right.
Not for Himself, but for us, because He loves us.
This is love.
Love that does not and cannot be counted or measured.
This is love.
Love Without Measure.
Love that stepped towards us, stoops down, made himself small, gave everything, so that we might live.
This is love.
The love we get to rest in today.
The love we are called to live out today.

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
