May it be that when I say to a young woman,
'Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,' and she says,
'Drink, and I'll water your camels too' - let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac...
Genesis 24:14 NIV
We've had:
1 Be clear about your goal
2 Know that God goes ahead of you
3 Pray for success
4 Acknowledge the problems
And here... Make a plan.
This was no small thing that was in the plan. A camel drinks 150 litres of water - he could have had 10 for his 800km journey, that's 1,500 litres of water to draw up out of a well ...by hand!
The unnamed servant had a plan.
This plan was part of his prayer - so not only did he make a plan, but he prayed his plan.
Committed it to God.
Plans are good and useful, sometimes they have difficult things in them that we want to accomplish.
So pray them.
Jesus had a plan.
And he kept praying.
And when it got really tough, he prayed more.

Not only that but Jesus was somehow the agent of everything that has been made in the physical, social, and spiritual. Jesus is at the centre of it all. Walking around Jesus. Cooking fish for breakfast Jesus. Heart aching as he ...
