I love you,
Lord,
my strength.
The Lord is my rock,
my fortress
and my deliverer;
Psalm 18:1-2 NIV
A rock is a high place, a place of safety, a place of perspective.
Why do we need a place of safety?
Because we're in a battle.
Why do we need a different perspective?
Sometimes we're so buried in activity, in doing, in life, in the battle, that we lose sight of the bigger picture.
We lose sight of God's Big Story
Creation
Redemption
Restoration
He says take a breather, come up to this high place, this rock that is Me, and regain perspective.
Remember who I AM
That I AM with you
Take another look at the battle from up here - it's already won!
That's where your hope rests.
The battle is on.
We're in it
But it's already won.

Joseph replied..."Dont you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now - life for many people..." Genesis 50:19-20 MSG The view from the drone. The different perspective. "God has been at work in my life despite, in fact within the hatred that you had towards me. Even though I couldn't always see it, I kept trusting Him, even when He was silent, when all hope seemed lost... God was at work... Can you see that now?" #faith #faithinthedark
