He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.
He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.
They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support.
He brought me out into a spacious place;
Psalm 18:16-19 NIV
You can almost feel the relief...
he brought me out - I've been stuck with this problem/ issue/ person/ thinking and it's like the doors have been opened and he steps out into fresh air
From constraint, locked in, held back, where there are no options, where the air is stale, there is no light...to a spacious place...
From bound, to free.
It's not clear what God did.
It's not clear that his circumstances changed.
But his view of them did.
His eyes were saw the far horizon of God's story, and he knew that no matter what, God was with him...

Genesis 15.8-18.ESV But he said O Lord God , how am I to know that I shall possess it? ...When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces. On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram... March 15 was the last day we looked at Abram's story...he was questioning God and this is God's response...sacrifices and smoke and fire and a covenant...a promise... Isn't that what we crave for sometimes? God, if only you'd just show me smoke & fire, a burning bush a sign, miracle, healing...then all my questions would disappear...all my doubts would be gone... 2moro we'll see Abram's response but I think God values our faith in spite of our questions and doubts. That we choose Him anyway #faith
