He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.
Psalm 18:16-19 NIV
This is David's song, his heart expression, his poem to God, and it tells us some things about God...
"He reached down."
Our God reaches down for us. He's not alloof and distant but reaches down.
"He took hold of me"
He's personal, holds us, hangs on when we can't
"He drew me out of deep waters."
David must've felt like he was in over his head, no longer able to swim, at the end of his resources, and saw God at work in his life.
Maybe today this is you, or someone you know, or maybe this is a piece of poetry to tuck away for another day...you can pray your story or someone else's into this Psalm, this song
Our God reaches down, he's personal, & He rescues.

Not only that but Jesus was somehow the agent of everything that has been made in the physical, social, and spiritual. Jesus is at the centre of it all. Walking around Jesus. Cooking fish for breakfast Jesus. Heart aching as he ...
