Fine speech is not becoming to a fool; still less is false speech to a prince.

Who are the "princes" of our world?
The politicians, the Chief Executives, the super rich...and so often we hear "false speech", lies, obscuring, cover-ups ...Solomon could've been talking about today's world.
A fool in the Bible is often someone not tracking with God, and a prince here implies someone sitting on a throne of their own self importance and pride...and that's always someone else.
Never me.
There's days when this proverb could've been written about me.
Speaking from my pride and self importance, not tracking with God at all...
Solomon is writing to me.
Fortunately there's the Cross.
Where another's sacrifice covers my foolishness, and grace overwhelms my pride
