He was powerful.
Influential.
The people flocked to hear him. To follow him.
But his message was clear:
There's one coming with real power
He's holy
He's going to bring a new thing. God's Spirit.
Jesus came. But gave up his power.
For us.
He is holy. But he allowed that holiness to be smashed.
For us.
He left us His Spirit, a connection with the Eternal.
Some days I'd be happy if He came back in power and just fixed things...but its not the way of the Kingdom...
John pointed people to Jesus then...and points us towards Him today
