The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free...
Luke 4:18-19 NIV
We can see...and yet be blind.
We don't have to be in jail to be a prisoner.
We can live in a free country...and still be oppressed.
Jesus pulls this quote from Isaiah 61...an epic chapter that points to a person who will do all kinds of things...and then says, that person is me.
In me there is freedom.
Freedom from what binds you, oppresses you, what stops you seeing, what stops you living!
Trust in me.
Those things that bind you & me are just shadows without substance or power any more.
When we look to Jesus, really look, place our faith and trust in Him, we start to see anew...the things we were blind to we start to see...
I can proclaim all kinds of things & that won't mean much, but Jesus is proclaiming this.
That makes it true.
Walk in his light
In his freedom.

Not only that but Jesus was somehow the agent of everything that has been made in the physical, social, and spiritual. Jesus is at the centre of it all. Walking around Jesus. Cooking fish for breakfast Jesus. Heart aching as he ...
