Paul, just like us, is driven by hope.
Hope of something better.
But he's not living there, he's not in the "if only", "when I get there..." living in the future.
He's living in today's reality and going as hard as he can.
Straining
Pressing on.
Today.
In the now.
And that's how we should live, with our heads up and our eyes on that living hope, and at the same time, going hard out for the kingdom, however that looks for you and me...

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
