This is what we will do to them: We will let them live, so that God's wrath will not fall on us for breaking the oath we swore to them. They continued, "Let them live, but let them be woodcutters and water carriers in the service of the whole assembly." So the leaders promise to them was kept.

Our God is a covenant God.
He takes his promises seriously and expects us to be the same.
Here God's people were learning that lesson.
How am I at keeping my covenants?
My promises?
What am I known for?
Do I reflect God's character here?
And there's a leadership lesson...keeping our integrity, our promises, but finding a solution that works...

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
