But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, "Lord, save me." Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"
Matthew 14:30-31 ESV
Peter had been living with and travelling with Jesus.
He'd seen miracles...and was walking on the sea!
Jesus & his message was not what was expected.
And then the circumstances of the moment got to him.
Our culture seems to want a small god who fixes things we want fixed when we want them fixed...a god of our own making...
And Jesus is not like that.
And then the circumstances of the moment can seem overwhelming and we lose sight of Jesus in the storm...and we have doubts.
In that moment "Lord save me" may be our only way forward
Acknowledge Jesus as Lord and sovereign. That He is the way and our lives are in His hands.
And that only He can truly save
Then our doubts can melt away...

Genesis 15.8-18.ESV But he said O Lord God , how am I to know that I shall possess it? ...When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces. On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram... March 15 was the last day we looked at Abram's story...he was questioning God and this is God's response...sacrifices and smoke and fire and a covenant...a promise... Isn't that what we crave for sometimes? God, if only you'd just show me smoke & fire, a burning bush a sign, miracle, healing...then all my questions would disappear...all my doubts would be gone... 2moro we'll see Abram's response but I think God values our faith in spite of our questions and doubts. That we choose Him anyway #faith
