Beth Moore, a Bible teacher from the US tweeted this NY challenge:

"I believe in New Years.

In new beginnings that can take place any old time of year.

I believe a time can come when we're finally ready to ditch the old methods that reaffirm our failures & decide to do something revolutionary: 

trust our Maker day in/day out with the making of us.

I say this without a hint of condemnation as the worst of sinners at points in my life and the least of leaders. 

Would you consider following Jesus for 1 year, 2020, 

& really pursuing Him in holiness, 

saying yes to opportunities, 

yes to love for God & neighbour & no to the cynics?

Would you simply see what would happen if you held nothing back? 

It's not that it gets easy. 

It doesn't. 

And it colossally fails as a formula for getting what you want as if man can manipulate God. 

It's just that you discover that the prize of following Jesus 

is actually 

Jesus."
