Then Jesus asked them, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath:
to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?"
But they remained silent. He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts...
Mark 3:4-5 NIV
If Jesus turned up at my church what question would he ask?
What about at my house?
What thing am I hanging on to that is more important than loving God and loving people?
This question Jesus asked is not difficult.
"You know how I said I'm the living water, why do you look to your work / business / career / $ / appearance / approval of others / _________ for life?"
"Why do you not stand up against pornography, sexual abuse, abortion, euthanasia and provide an oasis of care for the hurt?
Why do you think Sunday church does that?"
Would Jesus ask me about prayer or hospitality or loving my neighbour...
What's Jesus aim?
What is he angry and hurt about?
It's not those things, but my stubborn heart that will not be shaped and changed and moulded into His likeness...

Genesis 15.8-18.ESV But he said O Lord God , how am I to know that I shall possess it? ...When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces. On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram... March 15 was the last day we looked at Abram's story...he was questioning God and this is God's response...sacrifices and smoke and fire and a covenant...a promise... Isn't that what we crave for sometimes? God, if only you'd just show me smoke & fire, a burning bush a sign, miracle, healing...then all my questions would disappear...all my doubts would be gone... 2moro we'll see Abram's response but I think God values our faith in spite of our questions and doubts. That we choose Him anyway #faith
