Friday! Proverbs!
The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge,
for the ears of the wise seek it out.
Proverbs 18:15 NIV
There must be a mistake here. Isn't it the mind that acquires knowledge?
The word here for "heart" is our old Hebrew friend "leb"
The heart
The inner person
The mind
The will
The heart
And when knowledge gets in there, that changes things. Changes the way we see ourselves, the world, God, other people
When knowledge gets in there it changes how we think, how we feel, and how we live
Knowledge acquired in the heart changes how we live.
What we believe

And what's worth dying for
The question is, where am I getting my heart knowledge from?
Do I just let it drift in from anywhere?
Solomon says no.
Seek it out.
There's a deliberate intentional seeking of heart knowledge...
