A great verse to tuck away in our hearts...
A town of refuge was a place that you could go - to be safe
A shield protects in the hand to hand battle, the arrows, the swords...
There are times when we all need to seek refuge, & we all have battles...whether it's the hurtful words from our past, our own thought life that turns against us, or the words and actions of others...maybe it's physical disability or pain that won't retreat...whatever it is for you & me, the psalmist asks where do you put your hope?
The Word.
The living Word.

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
