Friday! Proverbs!
Your own friend and your father's friend, forsake them not; neither go to your brother's house in the day of your calamity. Better is a neighbor who is near [in spirit] than a brother who is far off [in heart].

Your friends are important - stick with them thru thick & thin - some even survive the generations :)
But this is also about where we look for advice. Solomon valued his father's friend Hiram, but Solomons son looked for advice from others and lost the kingdom.
The new young voices & ideas sometimes sound good to us but the long term, wise, these friends & their wisdom should be valued

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.
