So Joseph also went up from Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, since he was from the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to him in marriage and was expecting a child.

Joseph was from where? 
The house and line of David. He was not just a guy that lived in Mary's neighborhood or a random boyfriend, he was part of a bigger story that God was writing, an interweaving of people and places and God's heart for humanity. 
We're part of that bigger story too, that interweaving of people and places and God's heart for humanity. 
Let's not miss it.
