Then Jesus told him,
"I entered this world to render judgment - to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see that they are blind."
Some Pharisees who were standing nearby heard him and asked,
"Are you saying we're blind?"
John 9:39-40 NLT
Yesterday we watched a documentary on the "Dawn Raids".

An example of where we as a culture were blind.
Jesus wasn't even talking to the Pharisees here but they nosed in anyway. They were very sensitive to being told that they might just be wrong.
That's why God's word is so important, to give us an external guide about how to live.
Knowing Jesus is important so that we don't lose sight of what's important to Him.
Living in, being part of a community is important to work off the sharp edges, to deal with my selfishness, to submit to one another, to journey with one another, and as we do, to see where we are blind.
It's OK to ask the question "where am I blind?"
