For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. 

His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace,

Ephesians 2:14-15 NIV

Any thought that one group of people are better than others:

Gone.

Any thought of racial superiority:

Gone.

Any thought that one group of people are closer to or more acceptable to God:

Gone.

Any barriers between people groups:

Gone.

The Olympics can give us a glimpse of that...when you see someone's name and the country that they represent and wonder what their story is, how they got there. 

While we may not have any influence on the borders of our country, we do on the borders of our lives, who we let in. And there's wisdom required there for sure, but if we're excluding people because they're different, they're from "there", we're not just missing the richness of what it is to be human, but the heart of the gospel too.

If Jesus removed the barriers, who am I to put them up again?

He wants all people to know Him, and that's going to make heaven an interesting place :)
