Friday! Proverbs!
A fool's lips walk into a fight,
and his mouth invites a beating.
Proverbs 18:6 ESV
How true! Foolish words get you into trouble!

My heart.
But there is One who spoke no foolish words.
Whose words spoke life!
And yet He too was beaten, and this week we remembered His death too.
And beneath Jesus words is the heart of God.
Jesus walked into the fight (with sin, evil & death) with wisdom, authority, power, justice, truth, & took my beating.
Now his heart of grace, forgiveness, and love beats for us (& in us)
