Whatever is admirable - this is literally a "good report", what we hear about others, what good things others are doing for God's kingdom, what good reports from the lives of others...the problem we have that Paul didn't is Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook etc.
We are bombarded with reports of the lives of others...but they're almost always the gloss, the highlight reel...never the whole truth, and sometimes none of the truth
Here's my report from yesterday:
I was able to give a little help & encouragement to a small new work of God
I was able to face and talk about a small fear that I have
I felt like I let someone dear to me down
My report is a mixed one, but Paul encourages us to fix our thoughts on the good reports - because in them is hope.

Colossians 1:15-16 NLT OK so this is an English translation of a letter Paul wrote to a church 2,000 years ago, but does it feel like Paul is wrestling with words and ideas to try and capture all of who Jesus is, of who God is, of how does it work that the walking around Jesus was also there before the beginning of the beginning of everything we can see and touch and know.
