Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right...think about such things.
Philippians 4:8 NIV
Whatever is right.
Paul's letter to the church is full of encouragement and hope. Why is that?
Because we need it.
We stuff up, make mistakes, get stuck in sin.
All of us.
And the key thing Paul calls us to use here is our mind. What we think about, what we fix our minds on. It's not about what pops into our mind but what we encourage to stay there. To dwell on.
Today it's what is "right".
This is about what is just. Fair.
Impartial.
My natural bias is to what I think is fair for me! Hardly impartial.
So this forces me to try & think from the only just/right perspective.
God's.
Hard to do, but He has revealed himself in his word, in the person of Jesus so we have some clues.
Will I try to think like Jesus?

Joseph replied..."Dont you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now - life for many people..." Genesis 50:19-20 MSG The view from the drone. The different perspective. "God has been at work in my life despite, in fact within the hatred that you had towards me. Even though I couldn't always see it, I kept trusting Him, even when He was silent, when all hope seemed lost... God was at work... Can you see that now?" #faith #faithinthedark
