God's plan was good. The only way that his holiness wouldn't destroy us, that his justice wouldn't overwhelm us, was for someone else to make us holy, make us righteous...
A good plan.
Unless you were Jesus.
One day we'll find out in some way what it cost him.
Like a child who, when grown, realises just what sacrifices their parents made for them...or when you see the night sky without any city lights and just gaze at the beauty...weak analogies sorry...
And what is Jesus reward?

Its us.
He did it for us.
Relationship.
Love & Faithfulness.
