"...I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran.
Genesis 12:3-4 NIV
Well OK if the Creator of the Universe stopped by and told me he was going to deal to anyone in my way, and that I was going to bless all the people on earth somehow, well I'd pack up and go too...fully confident...
The thing is...he says "I love you, I love you enough to enter the story, enought to die for you, enough to be making a place for you, enough to send my Spirit to you, enough to give hope, enough to give you confidence to know that God is on your side..."
Abram's circumstances weren't great... 75yrs old & wandering around in the desert with his family with no idea where he was going or what the future held.
Our hope is not found in our circumstances, but in who we place our trust.

Joseph replied..."Dont you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now - life for many people..." Genesis 50:19-20 MSG The view from the drone. The different perspective. "God has been at work in my life despite, in fact within the hatred that you had towards me. Even though I couldn't always see it, I kept trusting Him, even when He was silent, when all hope seemed lost... God was at work... Can you see that now?" #faith #faithinthedark
