The righteous will flourish...
They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,  proclaiming, The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.
Psalm 92:12, 14-15 NIV
Our culture says expectation you get less useful as you age...at some age, you're no longer as useful, no longer of value.
But the Bible says something different.
Not only will there be fruit, there can be freshness, green, growth...the key here is the source
The Lord
Our Rock
In Him there is no shred of the corrupted, imperfect, prone to selfishness, hearts that we have.
No, the Lord is upright.
Truth
Trustworthy
He is the source of our fruit.
It's in Him we need to sink, and keep sinking our roots, and we can stay fresh and green...full of Life
There is no "use by" date in God's economy...

Genesis 15.8-18.ESV But he said O Lord God , how am I to know that I shall possess it? ...When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces. On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram... March 15 was the last day we looked at Abram's story...he was questioning God and this is God's response...sacrifices and smoke and fire and a covenant...a promise... Isn't that what we crave for sometimes? God, if only you'd just show me smoke & fire, a burning bush a sign, miracle, healing...then all my questions would disappear...all my doubts would be gone... 2moro we'll see Abram's response but I think God values our faith in spite of our questions and doubts. That we choose Him anyway #faith
