For surely your enemies, Lord, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered.
You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me.
My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.
Psalm 92:9-11 NIV
In this song, this poem, the psalmist is looking forward...seeing a time when victory is won...
We can see Jesus ressurected - his strength is seen like the ox, his head annointed by the Father...and the last part there's a further looking forward... a time when everything is different, when all is made new.
Who are my adversaries? My foes?
Often they're my fears. They're the battle within, the voices of past hurts, loss, grief.
Whatever it is for you it will be swept away by the torrent of Gods love, banished forever.
Something to look forward to :)

Genesis 15.8-18.ESV But he said O Lord God , how am I to know that I shall possess it? ...When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces. On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram... March 15 was the last day we looked at Abram's story...he was questioning God and this is God's response...sacrifices and smoke and fire and a covenant...a promise... Isn't that what we crave for sometimes? God, if only you'd just show me smoke & fire, a burning bush a sign, miracle, healing...then all my questions would disappear...all my doubts would be gone... 2moro we'll see Abram's response but I think God values our faith in spite of our questions and doubts. That we choose Him anyway #faith
