Between loss and restoration
We know what happens next, but the disciples on easter Saturday didn't, & they are afraid.
In lock down.
When what was supposed to be victory looks like stunning defeat.
Were they replaying conversations with Jesus - did he mean he was really going to die and really come back?
They knew the horror of the crucifixion. That was real.
We're done
God is defeated.
Jesus is dead.
Lock the doors.
Sometimes it can feel like we're living in Easter Saturday.
Theres been no triumph.
God is silent
There is no hope
It seemed that God had failed...but in fact had won the greatest victory.
So if it feels like Easter Saturday... hang on... Hope has come
