What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him...
Philippians 3:8-9 NIV
So what did Paul give up? What did he lose?
His job
His reputation
His authority and power
As a consequence he probably lost his wealth, friends and maybe property...
But none of it mattered compared to knowing Jesus.
Paul according to an ancient historian was beheaded by Nero, so likely he gave even his life for his faith, for what he believed...because k knowing Jesus was so much more valuable than anything...

Joseph replied..."Dont you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now - life for many people..." Genesis 50:19-20 MSG The view from the drone. The different perspective. "God has been at work in my life despite, in fact within the hatred that you had towards me. Even though I couldn't always see it, I kept trusting Him, even when He was silent, when all hope seemed lost... God was at work... Can you see that now?" #faith #faithinthedark
