When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples,
"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
Matthew 9:36-38 NIV
Why was Jesus' heart broken when he looked at the crowds of people?
I think it's because he was stuck in his "humanness" with the whole plan not to come in some awesome show of power (think parting of the red sea, manna from heaven).
The Way was a path of humility, suffering that culminated on the first easter...and it requires committed people to share the good news where they are...so will we?

Joseph replied..."Dont you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now - life for many people..." Genesis 50:19-20 MSG The view from the drone. The different perspective. "God has been at work in my life despite, in fact within the hatred that you had towards me. Even though I couldn't always see it, I kept trusting Him, even when He was silent, when all hope seemed lost... God was at work... Can you see that now?" #faith #faithinthedark
