Bring disgrace upon the arrogant people who lied about me; meanwhile, I will concentrate on your commandments.
Psalms 119:78 NLT
The writer has been lied about, maybe gossiped about, publicly slandered...and he or she is not happy about it.
(It's one of the great things about Psalms is they express what's really going on... and that's OK.)
So unhappy there's a request to God for public disgrace to be heaped on those who lied.
But...having expressed his feelings he then leaves it with God and focuses on what is right...getting back to God's Word.
It's OK to talk to God about how we really feel...and in this instance about another person...but then leave it with Him and get back to how He would have you live...

Joseph replied..."Dont you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now - life for many people..." Genesis 50:19-20 MSG The view from the drone. The different perspective. "God has been at work in my life despite, in fact within the hatred that you had towards me. Even though I couldn't always see it, I kept trusting Him, even when He was silent, when all hope seemed lost... God was at work... Can you see that now?" #faith #faithinthedark
