Then he said to them,
"My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me"
Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping...

"Am I leading a rebellion..."

In his time of need his best friends couldn't stay awake.
When his soul was in anguish he was alone.
When the pressure came on his friends left him
Alone
Rejected
Heartbroken
Sorrow filled
He knew something of the pain and suffering that was to come...for us.
Jesus knows lonliness, heartbreak, hurt, sorrow, loss & rejection.
Suffering.
And on this Good Friday morning He says I'll walk with you in yours.
I know what it's like.

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
