The second part "for whose sake I have lost all things", Paul seems to be looking back at the life this time at what he's actually lost.
He's lost his job, his status, his social network...we don't know about much about his personal life, but he says he has lost all things.
Lost all things for the sake of knowing Jesus.
And he sees himself as the winner!
All the things he thought were important, weren't as important as knowing Jesus.
May that understanding of Pauls be mine today...
