Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed - not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence - continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
Philippians 2:12-13 NIV
My dear friends - the ESV translates this "my beloved" - so not only does Paul love them, but they're dearly loved by God.
How good is that?
Knowing that you are the object of God's love, but dearly loved by people here and now...how nice to hear that...and from that comes the courage and strength to live as Paul is calling these people to live.
So...how will the people in your life, in my life, know that they're beloved, unless we tell them.
Give them courage. Strength.
Who needs to hear that from you today?
Lord, reveal to me today who you want me to encourage, strengthen and love today.
Thanks.
Amen.

Genesis 15.8-18.ESV But he said O Lord God , how am I to know that I shall possess it? ...When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces. On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram... March 15 was the last day we looked at Abram's story...he was questioning God and this is God's response...sacrifices and smoke and fire and a covenant...a promise... Isn't that what we crave for sometimes? God, if only you'd just show me smoke & fire, a burning bush a sign, miracle, healing...then all my questions would disappear...all my doubts would be gone... 2moro we'll see Abram's response but I think God values our faith in spite of our questions and doubts. That we choose Him anyway #faith
