Friday! Proverbs!
The heart knows its own bitterness, and no stranger shares its joy.
Proverbs 14:10 ESV
We had a friend who after asking how you are, look you in the eye and gently ask "how're you really?"
I actually care.
For most of us there are things at the core that we may never have told anyone - a bitterness, a hurt, thoughts, loss, fears...that only our own hearts know.
If you have someone you trust then share your heart, your real heart with them.
And as the psalmists do, share it with God. He can take it, hear it, absorb it, and return grace, forgiveness, healing...love
The heart knows it's own bitterness, but healing can come.

Joseph replied..."Dont you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now - life for many people..." Genesis 50:19-20 MSG The view from the drone. The different perspective. "God has been at work in my life despite, in fact within the hatred that you had towards me. Even though I couldn't always see it, I kept trusting Him, even when He was silent, when all hope seemed lost... God was at work... Can you see that now?" #faith #faithinthedark
