Jesus heart was broken by the people right in front of him...and while his request was for the disciples to pray for people to go, I think it was aimed at them (and us) to not only pray for & support pastors, missionaries, people going to hard places of the world, but for all of is to open our eyes to those right in front of us...that our hearts are broken for the one in front of us...
