There's seasons in life. For Epaphroditus the season of working with Paul and helping him while he was in jail was over...time to move on (go back in this case)
We don't move for lots of reasons... we think we're indispensable, we're afraid, we might let others down...
Paul here was showing real leadership in that he recognised it was best for Epaphroditus to go back, even tho it was likely going to make life tougher for himself.
There's times when we need to move & there's times to encourage others to move (even tho it might impact on us in some way)

March 15 was the last day we looked at Abram's story...he was questioning God and this is God's response...sacrifices and smoke and fire and a covenant...a promise... Isn't that what we crave for sometimes? God, if only you'd just show me smoke & fire, a burning bush a sign, miracle, healing...then all my questions would disappear...all my doubts would be gone... 2moro we'll see Abram's response but I think God values our faith in spite of our questions and doubts.
