Friday! Proverbs!
It is foolish to belittle one's neighbour; a sensible person keeps quiet. A gossip goes around telling secrets, but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence.
Proverbs 11:12-13 NLT
I wonder what Solomon would say about Twitter or our media full of trivia about our "neighbours", our obsession with celebrities.
And then there's the way I talk about other people...& just how easy it is to gossip...
On a 1-10 scale how trustworthy am I with something told in confidence?
When i start with "Don't tell anyone else this..." is a sign I may be talking too much...
So don't run down others (belittle our neighbour), speak well or say nothing...and keep confidences...
