When Darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
On this ANZAC day morning, as I think about the horrors of war that I have not had to experience just see on the news, as I think of those who gave their lives for us, as I think of those who lost friends, brothers, sisters, parents, daughters and sons, when I think of the darkness that must have seemed to envelope the planet as the whole world it seemed was engaged in war, that through all this, faith survived.
That hope was not lost.
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus name
No matter what we face:
Christ alone; Cornerstone.
