Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. 

"Do not fear their threats;

do not be frightened."

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord.

Sometimes doing good is misinterpreted, sometimes doing good gets in the way of someone else doing evil, sometimes doing good costs. 

Peter's solution is not fear, but to focus on Jesus. To focus on Jesus as Lord, creator, sustainer, redeemer, and coming King.

Jesus as Lord, who has already won the battle against death.

Jesus as Lord who has absorbed all my sin.

Jesus as Lord over all of creation, yet who's love for us compelled him to enter into his creation, and to suffer for us. 

Jesus as Lord who is with us. 

With us in the joy, in the struggle, in the wins, and in the fails.

Jesus as Lord, who is with. 

Keep Him at the centre of our heart, our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
