Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others,
as good stewards of the varied (many coloured) grace of God.
If anyone speaks, let it be as one who speaks God's words...
1 Peter 4:9-11 CSB
I can say a lot of words in a day. Many of them out loud. 
But I'm not sure that I've really considered that I might be speaking God's words.
John's gospel starts with Jesus as the Word, Paul calls us to be imitators of God, Jesus  commissioned us to go and make disciples. Words are important.
My words are important.
And Peter here tells me if I speak, let it be as one who speaks God's words. 
When I replay the tape of my words this week I'm not sure how many of them are close to what God would say.
God's words are healing, peace making, heart changing, life giving.
May my words today reflect something of the many coloured grace of God.

To just let the jumble tumble out of our minds and find expression. It's OK if our ideas about God sometimes seem half formed, if there's mysteries, things we can't grasp or understand, just don't "get". It's OK to be in a bit of a mind jumble sometimes. The psalmist downloaded in writing, so finding a safe download place is a thing we can do too. It's OK because we are Beloved. #psalms #psalm118 #youareBeloved

Do you wonder about the back story? Are these the same 4 people who bring this man food? Take him to the toilet every day. Clean him up. Does he live with one of them? Are they family? Are there whole families or groups of people in the background who have supported and cared for this man? A group of children who grew up seeing their parents love in action? Probably. Healing Help Hope These things are found in community. These 4 guys are the heroes here. The upfront people.
