Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; 
do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Psalms 37:7 NIV
The Psalmist sees people prospering for doing what is wrong, who are winning thru hurting others, taking advantage, stealing.
I don't know what it's like to be pulled over in my car, to be followed in a store, to be treated with suspicion just because of the colour of my skin.
Wicked schemes.
The Psalmist's advice is not to wait, 
not to wait patiently, 
but to wait patiently before the Lord.
Yahweh 
When we have Him front and centre, waiting before Him, we'll share our heart with Him, and search out His heart for us. 
We'll be changed. 
We may still protest, change job, move, write, speak out, serve, advocate for ourselves or others, but we may well have a different perspective. 
"Wait patiently before the Lord" is easy to write, difficult to do.

Genesis 15.8-18.ESV But he said O Lord God , how am I to know that I shall possess it? ...When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces. On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram... March 15 was the last day we looked at Abram's story...he was questioning God and this is God's response...sacrifices and smoke and fire and a covenant...a promise... Isn't that what we crave for sometimes? God, if only you'd just show me smoke & fire, a burning bush a sign, miracle, healing...then all my questions would disappear...all my doubts would be gone... 2moro we'll see Abram's response but I think God values our faith in spite of our questions and doubts. That we choose Him anyway #faith
