Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4 NIV
So that.
The outcome James is pointing to, the result, the reason...is a maturing and completing of our faith.
A faith that lacks nothing.
I want a faith like that

A faith that is unshakeable despite their circumstances.
A peace that is beyond understanding.
James says that faith comes from perseverance.
And perseverance is learned in the "trials of many kinds".
So face them with joy, because that's where God is found, & where our faith grows.
Easy?
No.
When you're in the middle of a 5 day tramp and don't feel you can take another step, the end seems impossibly far, when you don't want to carry on...but do...you learn something.
It's the same with our faith.
When you don't feel you can take another step.
The end seems impossibly far.
When you don't want to carry on...but do...you learn something.

Not only that but Jesus was somehow the agent of everything that has been made in the physical, social, and spiritual. Jesus is at the centre of it all. Walking around Jesus. Cooking fish for breakfast Jesus. Heart aching as he ...
