Jesus also used this illustration:
"The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough."

Yeast converts sugar into carbon dioxide which is what makes our bread what it is.
It's yeast that transforms bread from being flat and hard into the the tasty bread that we love...
And that's what the Kingdom does...transforms us from the inside...takes what we have, our gifts, talents, character...our responses... our choices... even our dreams and desires... and transforms them to be more gospel flavoured, more kingdom shaped...still us, but a lighter, tastier version!
